8K Full Fiber Optic DisplayPort Detachable Connectors (Tx & Rx Pair, 2 Pieces)

I received the product today (around 12:00 p.m. CET) and have been able to test it for a few hours so far. I’ve also been using an HDMI module from the same manufacturer for several weeks now, so I have a pretty good overall impression—and so far, I’m definitely satisfied.

The build quality feels high-end; everything gives the impression of being sturdy and well-designed. I particularly like the integrated power supply option, which can be really practical depending on the setup.

I’d also like to briefly address another review that criticizes the “non-standard” 7-fiber solution: In my view, that’s not quite the right way to frame it. MPO/MTP connectors are standardized—here, 7 fibers are simply being used or assigned. This is not a fundamentally unusual or problematic concept.
Anyone who works with structured cabling is familiar with such scenarios: In a 24-fiber setup, for example, you can easily use a 3×8-fiber breakout and establish multiple connections via a single cable. I myself am currently using a standard 12-fiber cable, which also works without any issues. In that regard, I don’t see this as a real “breaking change” compared to other fiber layouts—you just need to know how to integrate it effectively.

Another big plus for me is the customer support: The product was temporarily out of stock, and they proactively offered to refund my money. That’s not something you can take for granted and speaks to a customer-focused approach.

One small point to note: Due to the bend radius of the fiber optic cable in combination with the MPO connector and the converters, the cable may protrude slightly from the end device. This is simply because the setup is longer overall than a traditional copper cable and requires more space for the bend radius.

Bottom line: Good quality, a well-thought-out design, and, in my view, technically sound implementation—with minor but expected quirks typical of fiber-optic solutions.
